Jeffrey Elmer

 

Jeff Elmer (President & CEO, Founder) is a strong leader in the Information Technology Industry with more than 30 years of extensive experience.  Prior to founding VORTECHX in 2001, his responsibility as Director of Sales and Business Development for the Telecommunications Division of Aztec Technology Partners was for the development and management of a National Sales Program supporting Sun Micro/Oracle Corp, HP, and IBM for AT&T Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies and Telcordia.  He was solely responsible for growing and managing a $20 Million enterprise systems-storage solutions integration sales practice for his former organization.

 

 

Nancy McBurnie

Nancy McBurnie (Director of Human Resources, Founder) brings a wealth of energy and over 25 years of Executive Level experience in Human Resources, Executive Administration and Operational Support.  Prior to the inception of VORTECHX Applied Technologies, she held various positions with the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence of Union County, the City of Long Branch, NJ, the Bureau Coordinator of Fire Prevention and Code Enforcement Department for the City of Long Branch and most recently Supervisor and Mentor-Instructor for the Community YMCA of Red Bank, New Jersey. Her responsibilities include implementing Human Resource policies and administrative/operational activities, Recruiting personnel and managing client & employee confidentiality files. Nancy is a Katherine Gibbs Administration & Secretarial School Graduate possessing the business skills and hands-on experience in dealing with people and human related matters in the workplace.

 

Charles Boeddinghaus

Charles Boeddinghaus (Chief Financial Officer) joined VORTECHX Applied Technologies in 2008.  He is responsible for all financial matters of the company and has reporting responsibilities for Accounting, Tax, Treasury and Risk Management. He also is active with the Company’s continual growth strategies and search and analysis of potential merger and acquisition candidate companies.  Prior to joining VORTECHX, Mr. Boeddinghaus held financial and executive management positions in Business Services, Manufacturing, Wholesale Distribution, Marketing Research, Public Accounting and Not-for-Profit organizations. Additionally, he had intimate involvement with the sale of a $20 million manufacturing concern to a Fortune 500 company, sale of a $ 36 million wholesale distributor to an equity investor/lender consortium and sale of a $104 million service company to a competitor.  Lastly, he is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of New Jersey and has earned his Bachelor of Science in Commerce Degree from Rider University, Lawrenceville, N.J.

 

Florence Harrison

Florence Harrison (Operations & Finance Administrator) Joined VORTECHX in 2009.  She is a Trusted and Accurate Accounting Administrator with significant experience of increasing responsibility in AP/AR, processing payments, disbursements and handling bank transmissions.  Ms. Harrison is detail oriented with strong analytical, communication, and problem solving skills.  She possesses exceptional leadership qualities and ability to delegate work to others.  Relies on experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish departmental goals and demonstrate a professional work ethic.  Takes pride in accuracy and dependability.  Her expertise includes and not limited too:  SAP, Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, Lotus Notes and QuickBooks.  She currently supports DCGS-A Program for VORTECHX as the Exostar/VIP administrator on behalf of Lockheed Martin.

 

Richard Elmer

Richard Elmer (Creative Director) conceived, designed and registered the original and current VORTECHX Applied Technologies corporate logos along with collaborating and trade marking with Jeffrey Elmer and David Vena, VORTECHX’s corporate axiom, experience the power.  Richard Elmer's work has appeared in almost every market and media, national and international in his twenty years as an illustrator. He has produced book jacket illustrations for fiction as well as educational series. Corporate ideals, advertising and editorial markets offer fertile ground for his strong, conceptual style. His work has also appeared as a regular addition in the New York Times.  Additionally, many of his works have been viewed in corporate annual reports, trade journals and event guides for such clients as:  Met Life, Legent Corp, Shearson Lehman, Strathmore Paper Co., Lifeway Church Resources, CMP Publications, PSP Sports, Time Inc., New York Times, Merrill Lynch, Bellcore Magazine, Atlantic Mutual and CUC International.  Richard is retained on staff at VORTECHX as a contractor and is presently an Instructor of Illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

 

George Egner

George Egner (Business Development Manager, FSO) has been with the VORTECHX Applied Technologies since the company’s inception in 2001.  Mr. Egner has been integral in developing VORTECHX’s Federal Team and the subsequent contracting work that VORTECHX is now engaged on.  In the role of Federal Business Development Manager, he has successfully marketed the company to be a viable small business contractor for the major United States Army contract vehicles such as Strategic Services Sourcing (S3), Information Technology Enterprise Solutions (ITES-2S) and Rapid Response (R2, R23G).  As a result of these contracting relationships, VORTECHX is currently supporting the United States Army on the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS-A) Program providing specialized engineering services in the DCGS-A lab at Fort Monmouth’s and Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) Software Engineering Center as well as SEC/IFS at Fort Huachuca.  Mr. Egner and his team continue to pursue opportunities within the United States Army and through the experience and specialized skills of the VORTECHX Applied Technologies engineers; a trusted professional reputation has grown throughout both the government and contracting communities.  George Egner has also been a member in good standing in the Industrial Representatives Association (IRA) since 2002.

 

Matthew Bolt

Matthew Bolt (Chief Technologist) brings over 20 years of systems / network integration and administration experience and holds the highest level of technical certifications from many of the leading OEM enterprise systems, network storage and software leaders in the marketplace today.  Currently working with the U.S. Army to evaluate the virtualization and consolidation of the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS-A) platform to manage and disseminate fully integrated, real-time Information Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) data on the battlefield for the U.S. Warfighter in Afghanistan leveraging VMware virtualization software technology.  Matt holds a Masters Degree in Information Technology from Capella University.

 

 

Doug Losche

Doug Losche (Director of Program Management) holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).  He has over 20 years of experience in working DoD and commercial projects and programs, with a background that includes software development, system administration, testing, project management, and branch management.  Mr. Losche manages and oversees Program Management related responsibilities for all VORTECHX programs and task orders, as well as development of proposals.  Prior to joining VORTECHX in 2012, Mr. Losche held a management position at L-3 Communications in which he was responsible for development of proposals, management and oversight of a large group of employees, and management and oversight of multiple task orders valued in excess of $150 million per year.  Most recently he held a project management position at AT&T Labs, Inc.
